Frequently Asked Questions

Prices will range from a few hundred dollars to several thousand, depending on the size and complexity of the fish tank. Larger aquariums with custom features will be more expensive than smaller, simpler tanks.
The installation process for a large feature fish tank will generally take 1-2 weeks. This will include shipping and delivery of the fish tank, as well as the time required to set it up and fill it with water.
After installing your aquarium, we recommend waiting at least 48 hours before adding fish. This will give the tank time to settle and ensure the temperature is set correctly for your tropical fish.
Our builders use aluminium bracing and high-quality glass for all of our custom aquarium fish tanks. This ensures that your fish tank is built to last and won't leak.
Yes, we offer a 1-year warranty on all of our custom fish tanks. If there are any issues with your fish tank during this time, we will come out and fix it for free. However, other damages unrelated to the installation, ie . general wear and tear are not covered under this warranty.
The type of fish you can put in your aquarium will depend on the tank size and the kind of water you have. We recommend speaking to a local fish store or the team at Sidepost to find out what fish are suitable for your new aquarium.
We recommend only adding a couple of fish to your fish tank initially. Once your tank's ammonia and nitrite levels have increased and dropped to 0, you can slowly add more fish to your aquarium.
Our designs can help determine the correct size fish tank for your home or office. We will also consider the type of fish you want to keep and ensure that your tank is big enough for them.
